Faith Chapel of Spring Valley (San Diego), CA Invited Jake Hamilton/Jesus Culture
There's a Different Type of Faith in the Chapel
Jake Hamilton is a musician who has been a part of Jesus Culture Music for over three years. He has promoted Randy Clark and Blaine Cook's false healing teachings and techniques. On January 24 he visited Faith Chapel in Spring Valley California for his '1 Service' event.
It is wrong for churches to allow musicians, who believe false teachings, to perform in the name of 'worship' because it is giving them a platform. Many youth through college aged individuals attend these type of events who are not aware of the NAR movement nor are they even thinking about being on guard from deception. When leadership allows musicians who hold to and promote Word of Faith or NAR doctrines, they are doing a disservice to God and their congregation.
Please read more about Jesus Culture and Randy Clark here as well as worship leaders being exempt from the call of discernment here.
Another point to consider is how popular social media has become. This means that when a musician is invited to perform at a church, it is more than likely those who attend will start following them on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Jake Hamilton has promoted Blaine Cook and Randy Clark on his Instagram account leaving those who follow him to believe these men are true Christian teachers.
Sonrise Community Church in Santee is no stranger to the NAR Movement as one can tell by their promotion of the healing room. Click here to read about the unbiblical practices of healing rooms.
"This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin." 1 John 1:5-7
"This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” John 3:18-21

Not So Sunny at Sonrise
Sonrise Community Church in Santee California hosted Bethel Music April 20, 2015. If you have not read our page on Jesus Culture and Bethel Church please click here. Also, recommended reading is our page on Worship Music.
There have been many concerns over Bethel Church in recent years due to their association with old heretics such as Todd Bently, Benny Hinn, Randy Clark, the Word of Faith Movement and Eastern Mysticism and Occult practices.
Music draws people in, especially young people. Christians need to wake up and study the Bible. Bethel Church seeks experiences from God without obedience. Do you care about truth and worshiping God in truth (John 7:24)? If you do care then you will do your research on these matters. Do not simply go with the multitude but study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman who is not ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Tim 2:15).
Our desire for those reading this is for them to follow Jesus Christ, who is God, wholeheartedly and free from Satan's deceptions.
You may think that you are just listening to music, but music effects you and the origin of Bethel Music matters. Read through the pages listed above and take a look at the Links and Resources page, there is ample information concerning Bethel Church.
